Warranty on Rebuilt Units
In short: Rebuilt units carry a six-month warranty. A new gear cooler is required or the warranty is void, the installer must check the pump setting, and removal and installation aren't covered.
Our rebuilt transmissions carry a six-month warranty. Every one of them runs on our test stand before it ships, and the product listing tells you how it tested: for example, run for 90 minutes with no leaks and good operating pressure.
What keeps the warranty in force
- A new gear (transmission) cooler is required. All units must have a new gear cooler or the warranty is void. Install a new cooler with the rebuilt transmission.
- Your installer has to check the pump setting before running the unit. That's the installer's responsibility. See changing pump rotation for what the pump setting does.
What the warranty doesn't cover
Hale Marine is not responsible for the removal or installation of any warranty parts or transmissions. If a warranty issue comes up, the cost of pulling the unit and putting it back in is on you.
